Thailand working on a business plan for an Akha Spa and massage center. It will be open as soon as the legal aspects of it can be taken care of. The profit from the center will be put into an educational fund for the Akha women. This year the foundation has financed 30 women in Thai massage training. Last July Winnie trained eight Akha women in a 30 hour Thai massage course and a 15 hour foot massage course. They are ready and willing to work.
After the center is open we will be looking for volunteers to train these women in more modalities and English. They don't read or write and most of them don't even speak Thai.
